Weaving in the rain

Did I disturb a picnic?

What were they looking for ?

A trio crawling on the fringe

Followed by some more

Red weavers

Silken threads used as glue

They pieced together a green nest

The rain came down in needles

But the toilers took no rest

The ball like nest under contruction

Like little soldiers marching

To thundering beats of staccato

Living leaves together

They continued to sew
